Former New England Patriots running back and three-time Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk has lost his second daughter in four years.
Tanasha Faulk, 30, died unexpectedly on Saturday December 6, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. No foul play is suspected, and the family has not released a cause of death.
Tanasha leaves behind three young daughters—Ava Shelvin, Jornell Zenon, and Jaida Louis—as well as her partner of five years, Isaac Louis, and her parents Kevin and Latisha Faulk.

In February 2021, the Faulks buried their 19-year-old daughter Kevione, a student-worker on the LSU football staff where Kevin was then coaching running backs. The couple also lost their infant son Kevin Jr. years earlier.
The obituary remembers Tanasha as the heartbeat of her Carencro home: a devoted mother who lit up holidays and Mardi Gras celebrations, who cooked for anyone who walked through the door, and who measured her days by her daughters’ laughter.
“Family was the center of Tanasha’s world, especially her three daughters,” it reads. “Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went.”
LSU, where Kevin starred from 1995-1998 and later returned as a coach, released a brief statement:
“Our hearts are broken again for Coach Faulk and his family. The entire Tiger community sends love and strength during this unimaginable time.”

The Patriots organization added:
“Kevin Faulk gave everything to this franchise on the field and has carried himself with grace off it. We are keeping him, Latisha, and their granddaughters in our thoughts.”
A funeral service will be held Saturday in Carencro.
The double tragedy has stunned the Louisiana sports community that watched Kevin Faulk grow from a local legend into a Patriots Hall of Famer.
Few families, even among those accustomed to public loss, have endured this much grief in such a short span.
