Target Drops Chrissy Teigen’s Cookware Line as She Issues Apology for Cyberbullying Teenager

Target is distancing itself from Chrissy Teigen and has pulled her “Cravings” cookware line from its shelves following allegations of cyberbullying.

“We made the mutual decision in December to no longer carry the cookware line, given our continued focus on brands we develop and that can only be found at Target,” the retail giant said in a statement to Page Six.

Earlier this week, in an interview with The Daily Beast, Courtney Stodden accused the model of sending them a barrage of hateful messages. Stodden faced an influx media criticism at age 16 for marrying 51-year-old Doug Hutchison in 2011.

“[Teigen] wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself,” Stodden said. “Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.'”

Stodden says the messages were sent to them when they was just 16.

Teigen boasts 13 million followers on Twitter alone and took to social media to issue an apology to Stodden for her past behavior.

“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past (expletive) in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll,” Teigen tweeted Wednesday.

She continued: “I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!”

The apology was surprising to some of Teigen’s fans, as Teigen left the social media platform briefly in March, citing online bullying as part of the reason.
