Teyana Taylor’s estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, pettily compliments the singer’s 2024 Met Gala look on social media.

Following her sightings and rumors of having an intimate relationship with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, plus her sizzling performance in “The Dirty Rose” show at the Paradise Club at the Times Square EDITION Hotel, Taylor has received more media engagement.

Teyana Taylor’s stunning appearance at the Met Gala last night attracted a lot of attention.

And Iman couldn’t help himself!

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert married in 2016, and Taylor filed for divorce in January 2023.

The multitalented musician first met Iman Shumpert in 2011 at a party. Their relationship started out platonic because Taylor was seeing someone else then. In 2013, their friendship developed into something more.

In 2015, at their baby shower at the Cleveland, Ohio, Museum of Contemporary Art, Shumpert proposed, and they were formally married in 2016.

Teyana Taylor reportedly secretly filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, in January 2023.

The multitalented music video director stated in the legal documents that her ex was “oppressing her and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.”

The former NBA champion publicly praised the mother of his children even though he could not attend the invite-only event this year. However, his remarks came across as jokingly petty.

The “Rose in Harlem” performer strutted across the garden-themed carpet in a platinum blonde updo and a crimson Burlesque gown with floral details and a high split

Massive gold bracelets and dangling earrings from David Yurman completed her ensemble.

Soon after celebrities began gracing the red carpet, Iman took to X (formerly Twitter) with indirect praise. He wrote, “Yeah, you ate…but I ain’t telling you that sh*t (crying face emoticon.)”

Others started labeling him a “hater” and expressing contempt for the alleged backhanded compliment, even though he might not have meant harm in the post.

“Lol, it was a cute way to say she kilt it, but people don’t laugh enough in life [halo emoji],” Shumpert explained in another X post.

Taylor and Shumpert are parents to two daughters, Junie and Rue Rose.
