Entrepreneur, author, and #ThePeople’sCEO Fawn Weaver is starting 2025 with a message of resilience, faith, and purpose.
In a recent Instagram post, the trailblazing founder of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey urged her followers to stop chasing ease and instead embrace life’s inevitable storms with strength and joy.
Weaver’s post draws a striking parallel between life’s struggles and the eye of a hurricane, where peace exists amid chaos.
“Most people spend their lives running from storms, trying to escape the hard things,” she wrote. “But storms are inevitable. The key isn’t avoiding them—it’s learning to stand in the eye, where God’s peace is.”
As a Black woman leading one of the most successful independent spirit brands in the country, Weaver understands the weight of navigating challenges in business and beyond. She highlighted the difficulty of building an independent whiskey brand in America, emphasizing the perseverance required to break barriers in the industry.
Her message resonated deeply with her audience, inspiring many to shift their mindset for 2025.
“Stop praying for easy,” she encouraged. “Ask God to help you remain in the eye of the storm—calm, steady, and unmovable—no matter what rages around you.”
Weaver’s visit to the Savannah Book Festival, where she moderated a book talk and signed copies of Love & Whiskey, also reinforced the power of resilience. She expressed gratitude for the support of businesses like Andaz Savannah, which proudly features Uncle Nearest at its bar. A special moment came when a bartender, Carson, spoke passionately about the whiskey brand—unaware he was talking to the woman behind it.
Here’s the prayer she hopes everyone will embrace:
“Lord, teach me to stop chasing ease and start embracing the hard—not just to endure it, but to find joy in it, knowing I was built for such a time as this.”
Through her words and work, Weaver continues to inspire entrepreneurs, business leaders, and dreamers to embrace challenges head-on, stand firm in their faith, and create their own legacy.
