A woman claims the famous couple drugged her after they met in the VIP section of a club. The Atlanta rapper and his wife have denied the allegations.
Tameka “Tiny” Harris and her husband, T.I., are facing a new civil lawsuit from a woman who claims the famous couple drugged and sexually assaulted her in a hotel room in 2005.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe, is apparently a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who was 22 or 23 years old at the time of the alleged assault.
The Jane Doe claimed in the civil suit filed in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday that the alleged assaulting her “in or around 2005.”
In the complaint, lawyers for the plaintiff say T.I. (Clifford Harris) and Tiny (Tameka Harris) gave her a spiked drink after being introduced to them in the VIP section of a club.
The suit also detailed that the music couple then brought her back to their hotel room, where they “forced her to get naked” and assaulted her.
She claimed Tiny pinned her down on a bed while T.I. penetrated her with his foot.
Jane previously spoke about the alleged assault in an interview with The New York Times in 2021, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect her family.
The lawsuit was filed in Superior Court under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover-Up Accountability Act, which extended the statute of limitations for sexual abuse claims.
The suit accuses Mr. Harris and Ms. Harris of sexual battery, battery, sexual assault, negligence, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawyer for the Atlanta rapper and his wife, Andrew B. Brettler, denied the accusations while describing the civil suit as a shakedown in a statement.
“This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for three years. For three years, we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. For three years, we have maintained our innocence and refused to pay these extortionate demands for things we didn’t do.”
