Tragedy struck just days after Thanksgiving as 20-year-old Jo’Miya Ann Wilson lost her life in a domestic-related shooting on Dec. 2.
Madison County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a shooting on a residential street in Hazel Green, where they discovered Wilson deceased on the front porch of a home.
Authorities confirmed that she suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect was detained and transported to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning, though no charges had been filed as of Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
