Vivica A. Fox warned young ladies about dating rappers during a recent appearance at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Edison, New Jersey. She also admitted that it took her years to process the emotional aftermath of their 2003 relationship.
The Kill Bill star dropped some relationship wisdom straight from experience, “Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers.”
The crowd immediately erupted in laughter as Vivica shrugged and continued, “Facts! … Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh, not to cry no more, but I did it.”
Vivica briefly dated 50 Cent back in 2003. She was 39, and he was 28. The two first sparked attention after meeting at the BET Awards and even appeared together at the MTV Video Music Awards that same year. But the romance was short-lived, lasting just three months. Their relationship has since been marked by occasional public disputes, including Vivica appearing in 50 Cent’s 2009 music video “Do You Think About Me.”
The story resurfaced online after Vivica’s candid advice, and 50 Cent himself responded on Instagram.
The G-Unit mogul posted an AI-generated image of himself holding a red and blue pill on Monday night.
“Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica. @50centaction,” he wrote.
In a 2024 interview, Fox referred to 50 Cent as “the love of my life” and expressed that he would “always hold a unique place” in her heart. However, her latest remarks indicate a more complex perspective on their past.
