Demetria “Demi Blanco” Spencer has been arrested for allegedly making a false 911 call that triggered a chain of events leading to rapper Young Scooter’s fatal injury

Demi Blanco just found out the hard way that playing with emergency services can have deadly consequences, including the possibility of being arrested. And now, she’s sitting in a jail cell, charged with “Transmitting a False Public Alarm.”

On March 28, chaos erupted in Atlanta when Demi dialed 911, claiming a woman was being brutally attacked. The urgency of the call sent police racing to the scene. But when they arrived? No crime. No victim. No Demi.

Instead, law enforcement encountered Young Scooter. The encounter quickly spiraled into a foot chase, during which Scooter suffered a fatal leg injury, eventually bleeding out and dying.

Once news of Scooter’s death broke, Demi shifted her story. She now claims that she wasn’t reporting someone else being attacked. She was the victim. According to her, she was being abused by someone connected to Scooter and called for help.

But there’s one problem. Demi Blanco wasn’t even at the scene when police arrived, and investigators found zero evidence backing her claims. Now, instead of securing a spot on Zeus Network’s Baddies, where she reportedly auditioned, she’s landed herself in the middle of a criminal case.

Tuesday evening, the Atlanta Police Department announced that Demetria Spencer was charged with “Transmitting a False Public Alarm under O.C.G.A. 16-10-28, subsection (d)(2),” a law specifically targeting those who make false 911 calls that result in “bodily harm or death.”

Demi now faces serious legal consequences. Transmitting a False Public Alarm isn’t a small charge. It can come with hefty fines and potential jail time. As for Young Scooter’s family, they’re demanding justice. Fans, friends, and fellow artists have spoken out, calling for accountability.

Atlanta Police Department has not provided any additional statements regarding the possibility of more charges being filed. Nevertheless, a medical examiner verified on Tuesday that Scooter’s death was caused by the accident, not by gunfire as was initially reported.

Now, the internet is demanding answers. Was this a cry for help, a clout chase gone wrong, or a reckless attempt at attention that went horribly wrong?
