Megan Thee Stallion made quite the impression this Thanksgiving for her boyfriend, NBA star Klay Thompson, and his family. The festivities left many online still buzzing from the feast.
On Friday, Megan took to Instagram, playfully sharing a voiceover that captured the holiday spirit, noting that Klay was “still in his food coma from last night.” Given the delicious spread she showcased, it’s easy to understand why.
In her recap, Megan opened with a candid shot of herself at the stove, her hair pinned up and dressed casually in a white tank top and red-and-white boxer shorts. She stirred a large pot of greens, explaining that they had been simmering overnight to develop those deep, rich flavors that Southern grandmothers swear by.
With a proud tone, she declared to her fans, “Right here, this is me getting my dressing ready. I do not call it ‘stuffing,’ baby, ’cause this is dressing. This is a Southern thing.” There was no mistaking her pride in Southern cuisine.
As she moved on to the turkey, her commentary was both humorous and captivating. “Okay, this is me getting my turkey ready, b—-, I already gave it a BBL and injected that thing up last night with all the flavor,” she joked.
Even someone as confident as Megan felt the pressure: “I was really nervous ’cause I was like, ‘Dang, I’m really finna cook for my man and his whole family. I hope they love this because I got to show them that I really love their son!'”
In her self-assured style, she claimed her barbecue baked beans are unmatched. “Ain’t nobody seeing me on barbeque baked beans. If you wanna have a conversation, let me know because I’m sure I will win.”
Before heading to the Thompson household, she shared glimpses of her glam routine, complete with lashes, hair, and makeup, believing one must always look camera-ready for family gatherings. Once everything was prepped and packed, she said, “And then we hurried up and we took all the food over to the Thompsons.”
It seems her efforts were well-received. “Mr. Thompson definitely said 10 out of 10, I could easily have owned my own restaurant,” she revealed, alluding to Klay’s enthusiastic feedback while respecting his initial reaction.
Just a day earlier, Klay’s father, Mychal Thompson, had already been singing Megan’s praises on ESPN LA, confirming that she would be the one preparing the turkey, and he was spot on.
