A 25-year-old woman described by investigators as a “known offender” in a string of so-called “bad date thefts” has been arrested again after police say she drugged a man and stole thousands of dollars in cash and luxury watches.
The Latest Arrest

Angelina Chenel Esty, 25, is facing charges of burglary of an occupied dwelling and grand theft between $20,000 and $100,000, the Miami Police Department confirmed.
The charges stem from an Aug. 9 incident at an apartment on Brickell Bay Drive. According to an arrest report reviewed by WSVN and WPLG, the victim told police he woke up to discover his $20,000 Rolex, $4,000 in cash, and a $1,000 replica Rolex belonging to a friend were missing. He also reported an unauthorized $500 Cash App charge from his friend’s account.
The victim said his memory of the night was hazy and believed he had been drugged.
Surveillance and Identification
Investigators said the victim and his friend met Esty and another woman earlier that night at Blackbird Ordinary, a popular Miami bar.
Surveillance video captured both women at the venue, and police said the victim later identified Esty in a photo lineup.
A Pattern of “Bad Date Thefts”
Detectives noted Esty’s history of similar cases, calling her a “known offender.”
In May, she surrendered to authorities in connection with three earlier thefts where men reported being drugged after meeting her at bars or hotels. Victims in those cases alleged they later awoke to find Rolex watches, jewelry, and cash stolen.
In one incident, police said Esty accidentally left behind her identification card in a purse, directly tying her to the theft.
Custody Status
Esty is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond.
Police have not released details on the unidentified second woman linked to the latest incident.
