Police in Pennsylvania are seeking 23-year-old Destenee Green, who is facing serious charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person, following a New Year’s Eve incident involving her former boyfriend.
According to authorities, the incident began in a Taco Bell parking lot after an argument between Green and her ex-boyfriend. Witnesses say the victim tried to de-escalate the situation by exiting the car and walking away.
“He got out of the vehicle, did the right thing. He knew tempers were really flaring. Got out of the vehicle and walked away,” said Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt.

Police allege that Green then drove her car the wrong way, went over the curb, and struck her ex-boyfriend with her 2019 Hyundai Elantra, before colliding with a parked tow truck. Authorities say the tow truck helped reduce the severity of the impact, potentially saving the victim’s life.
The victim sustained cuts on his hand and road rash on his back but walked away from the scene. Local witness 12-year-old Musa Hussain recounted the crash from his father’s nearby auto shop:
“The guy who got hit, he just picked his stuff up and left. If we didn’t have this truck, he would’ve been not alive.”
Green reportedly fled the scene, but her vehicle has since been recovered, with debris still scattered in the area. Police are urging her to turn herself in as investigations continue.
This incident has raised concerns in the community over road safety, domestic disputes, and violent escalation, highlighting the potential dangers when arguments turn physical in public spaces.
