Flau’jae Johnson, the 20-year-old star of the LSU women’s basketball team and an emerging rap artist, is making headlines not only for her athletic prowess and musical talent but also for her entrepreneurial spirit.
In a significant move towards building generational wealth, Johnson has purchased 20 acres of land in Atlanta, showcasing her ambition to expand her influence beyond the court and the studio.
“This land represents more than just an investment for me—it’s about building something bigger than basketball or music,” Johnson said. “I want to create opportunities for my community and leave a legacy that shows young women, especially young Black women, that we can do it all.”
As the 2023 SEC Freshman of the Year, Johnson is poised to take on a larger role with the Tigers in the upcoming season, especially with the recent departures of key players like Angel Reese.
Balancing her college career, burgeoning music career, and business ventures, she is setting a powerful example that young women can excel in multiple fields while still pursuing their education.
Johnson’s land acquisition is part of her long-term vision to break boundaries and build a future where young Black women can thrive across various industries.
This latest achievement adds to her already impressive resume, which includes signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in January 2024, performing at high-profile events such as the ESPY Awards and the WNBA All-Star Game, and collaborating with Lil Wayne on their track “Came Out Like A Beast.” Additionally, she released her debut EP, “Best Of Both Worlds,” this summer.
With her commitment to community empowerment and excellence, Flau’jae Johnson is not just a star in sports and music; she is a role model for aspiring young women everywhere.
