A young mother has tragically passed away while recovering from a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery, and her grieving sister is holding a Miami-based recovery home responsible.
The family alleges that the facility administered unprescribed medication, leading to the woman’s untimely death.
TikTok users knew sisters Scar and “ThaMfcnBarbie” as they documented their trip from Las Vegas to Miami for their BBL procedures.
The pair appeared excited to undergo the cosmetic surgeries together. However, their shared journey took a devastating turn post-surgery when they checked into Keyla Recovery House, a facility meant to assist patients during their healing process.
Allegations of Negligence
According to Barbie, the recovery home allegedly provided Scar with pills that were not prescribed by her doctor. Barbie claims the medication may have been street drugs.
While still recovering herself, Barbie went to check on her sister and discovered her lying face down and unresponsive. She immediately alerted the staff, who allegedly dismissed her concerns, insisting Scar’s vitals were normal and she was simply resting.
Minutes later, Barbie says the owner’s son informed her that Scar had passed away.
Concerns Over Legitimacy of the Facility
Barbie further claims that Keyla Recovery House was operating without a proper license.
The family is now awaiting an autopsy report to determine Scar’s official cause of death. Scar leaves behind a 1-year-old daughter, adding to the heartbreak of her loss.
