When it comes to defining loyalty, Law Roach only has one name in mind—Zendaya. The famed stylist recently opened up about his long-standing relationship with the multi-talented star, revealing just how much she has supported him throughout his career.
In a conversation with NakedBeauty Podcast, Roach was asked, “What does loyalty look like for you?” Without hesitation, he answered, “Zendaya.”
We are all familiar with Zendaya as the true fashion icon she is, and her long-term relationship with her stylist, Law Roach, has played a significant role in her legacy.
The first time Law Roach styled 14-year-old Zendaya in 2011, the then-young Disney actress stunned the red carpet at the premiere of Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never in LA.
Roach’s signature technique is what Vogue writer André Wheeler refers to as “method dressing,” a style that incorporates themes and motifs from a performer’s role.
He spent two years designing the gown Zendaya wore to the Venice world premiere of the first “Dune” film—a high-slit beige leather dress with creases that made it stick to her body as if wet.
In the interview, Roach shared a heartwarming anecdote that highlighted Zendaya’s unwavering support and advocacy for him throughout their decade-long collaboration.
“Even as a young girl, she has always advocated for me to be in every room,” Roach revealed. “Like it would be unheard of that someone would go to their agent to talk about deals, and the stylist would be there.” He recalled instances where Zendaya would actively champion his presence in meetings, ensuring his voice was heard and respected.
The famous stylist expressed gratitude for Zendaya’s unwavering loyalty, stating, “Just as loyal as she is to me. I am just as loyal to her.” He described their relationship as one of mutual respect, protection, and collaboration.
Law Roach also emphasized Zendaya’s generosity and financial support. “She’s always made sure that I was taken care of financially,” Roach shared. This revelation further underscores the depth of their bond and Zendaya’s commitment to her team.
