Lupita Nyong’o confirmed she is single a year after sparking romance rumors with Joshua Jackson, who was recently spotted with model Nastassja Roberts.
Lupita and Joshua first sparked dating rumors in October last year following Joshua’s split from Jodie.
Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson after almost four years of marriage in October 2023. The British model cited “irreconcilable differences” in the legal documents. She also requested joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, while relinquishing spousal support.
According to a source who spoke to People, “She decided that she is done. It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy. They will co-parent their daughter. They want her to continue to thrive.”
A few months after his divorce, Jackson was seen out in public with actress Lupita Nyong’o, who also broke up with TV personality Selema Masekela on social media.
Lupita penned a lengthy breakup message the same day and the first time she was captured at a concert with Jackson and some friends.
In March, the couple took their relationship to the next level, traveling to Mexico for a PDA-filled vacation to celebrate Lupita’s 41st birthday.
Less than a year after sparking romance rumors with the Dawson’s Creek alum, the Oscar winner revealed that she is single, with the only guy in her life being her cat Yoyo.
“My love for my cat is singular,” Lupita stated in a Harper’s Bazaar UK interview published on October 9. “If I’m ever so lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it’ll be because of him.”
She went on to say about the orange tomcat, “I was ready to shut that door, lock it, and bolt it. He has ensured that my heart remains open.”
Weeks before Lupita’s confirmation, fans suspected the couple had spilt after Joshua was spotted with model Nastassja Roberts at the “Grotesquerie” premiere in NYC.
