Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa just squash ‘Breakfast Club’ Beef With ‘The Boy Is Mine’ pure entertainment spoof.
After weeks of tension surrounding Jess’s return to The Breakfast Club, the duo decided to bury the hatchet in the most hilarious way possible, with a parody of Brandy and Monica’s classic hit The Boy Is Mine, now hilariously rebranded as The Job Is Mine.
The drama kicked off when Jess Hilarious returned from maternity leave, only to find her seat at The Breakfast Club, which wasn’t as secure as she had thought. Enter Loren LoRosa, who had been filling in during Jess’s absence. Things got messy when Jess took to Instagram Live, accusing her co-hosts, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, of acting “funny style” and leaving her in the dark about what was happening with her job. She was NOT happy.
“You try coming back to work, and the motherf***er is right there at your desk, and ain’t nobody telling you shit,” she vented. “Before you know it, everybody thinking you’re the villain.”
The next day, tensions boiled over live on air. Jess and Loren went head-to-head on The Breakfast Club, putting all their issues out in the open. But instead of letting the situation spiral into an all-out feud, the two did something unexpected, they embraced the chaos and turned it into content!
Enter The Job Is Mine, a side-splitting spoof of The Boy Is Mine that puts their workplace rivalry front and center. The lyrics? A hilarious back-and-forth about who really deserves the seat at The Breakfast Club table. The energy? Pure comedy. The vocals? Let’s just say, Brandy and Monica have nothing to worry about!
In the video, Loren playfully questions if Jess even wants her job, referencing the drama that had people speculate about Jess’s future on the show. And Jess? She fires back with her signature comedic flair. The whole thing is self-aware, over-the-top, and a genius way to turn tension into entertainment.
Former Breakfast Club host Angela Yee recently shared her views on the matter during an interview with FOX 5. “When I initially left, they did say they were going to hire two people, so that was always the plan,” she said. “I’ma be honest, I don’t know what’s being communicated to anybody.”
After their viral collab, Jess and Loren are back at The Breakfast Club together. No more “us vs. them.”
