Blue Ivy Carter continues to shine under the spotlight — and she’s only 13!

At the 2025 BET Awards, the daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z secured the YoungStars Award for the second year in a row, proving that her presence in entertainment is far more than a cameo.

The multitalented teen beat out a competitive lineup of young talent, including actress Akira Akbar, YouTube sensation Graceyn “Gracie” Hollingsworth, performers Heiress Harris and Melody Hurd, actors Thaddeus J. Mixson and Tyrik Johnson, and viral musician VanVan.

Though Blue Ivy did not attend the ceremony — she’s currently performing on the European leg of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour — her absence only highlighted how busy and booked her young career already is. She’s been appearing onstage alongside her little sister Rumi Carter since the tour kicked off in April.

Blue’s rise has been both supported and carefully navigated by her family.

In a recent interview with Elle, her grandmother Tina Knowles reflected on the conversations around Blue’s participation in live performances.

“It was her mom’s decision,” Knowles shared, explaining that Beyoncé was initially protective about the idea. “This is a heavy thing. It’s 70,000 people out there sometimes.”

But Knowles encouraged the decision, explaining that the family’s tradition of nurturing creativity.

“I tried to encourage everything that they wanted to do—every dream that they had,” she added.

The encouragement seems to be paying off.

With another BET trophy under her belt, a major world tour, and a legacy rooted in music royalty, Blue Ivy Carter is defining her own path — and making it look effortless.
