India Kinamore: 2 Years After Tragic Killing Of Pregnant Woman, 3 Men Charged

by Gee NY

Nearly two years after the killing of 26-year-old India Kinamore and her unborn child, police say three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the case.

The Colerain Police Department announced that Robert Ervin, 20, Kayvon Warren, 30, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, each face two counts of murder for their alleged roles in the March 2023 shooting.

The Night of the Killing

Authorities responded to a shooting just after 4:30 a.m. on March 4, 2023, at Kinamore’s home in Colerain Township, Ohio. Kinamore, who was in the late stages of pregnancy and scheduled for labor induction that very day, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Her 6-year-old son, who was inside the home, called family members after the shooting. Investigators later determined the killing was the result of a calculated plan.

Building the Case

At Friday’s arraignment, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney David Hickenlooper told the court the case took nearly two years to build, citing extensive cell phone communications between the three defendants and video evidence placing them at or near the crime scene.

“It would seem this defendant and his co-defendants were conspiring to come up with this plan to kill Miss Kinamore and her unborn child,” Hickenlooper said.

Prosecutors allege Warren, who had been in a relationship with Kinamore, pressured her to end the pregnancy. When she refused, he and the co-defendants allegedly conspired to kill her.

Defense Pushback

Warren’s attorney, Clyde Bennett, rejected that claim, saying his client “wanted the child” and stressing that Warren cooperated with investigators.

“He knew he was wanted for murder. He didn’t flee the jurisdiction,” Bennett said.

Ervin’s attorney also argued that his client was “guilty by association,” insisting he had no personal connection to Kinamore. Prosecutors countered that phone and location records tied Ervin and his vehicle to the crime.

Suggs, the third defendant, is already serving time at the Ohio Department of Corrections on an unrelated weapons charge.

Family Plea for Justice

During the arraignment, Kinamore’s mother, Terri, urged the judge to impose a high bond.

“They were in a relationship. He killed his own son or plotted to kill his own son,” she said, referring to Warren.

The judge ultimately set bond at $300,000 on each charge for Warren and Ervin. Both remain in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Ongoing Proceedings

The arrests mark a major development in a case that has haunted Kinamore’s family and community for nearly two years.

Prosecutors say they are committed to pursuing justice for both Kinamore and her unborn child.
