Married to Medicine star Dr. Heavenly Kimes is getting plenty of love from her Bravo family after conceding Georgia’s Democratic primary race for the 13th Congressional District.
While the reality star and entrepreneur did not secure the win, supporters and fellow Bravolebrities quickly filled her comments with encouragement after she shared a heartfelt message reflecting on the campaign.
According to election results, Georgia State Rep. Jasmine Clark won the Democratic primary with more than 53,000 votes. Dr. Heavenly finished second with 19,366 votes, while candidate Everton Blair earned more than 10,000 votes in the crowded race.
Dr. Heavenly entered the race earlier this year with plans to bring her background as a dentist, businesswoman, and television personality into politics. Throughout the campaign, she centered her platform on affordable healthcare, education, economic growth, and opportunities for working families across Georgia.
After conceding the race, Heavenly took to Instagram with a lengthy message thanking her supporters and reflecting on the journey. “We came in second place. We beat elected officials. We built a real movement. And most importantly, we showed that everyday people still have a voice,” she wrote.
The Bravo star also made it clear she does not see the loss as the end of her political involvement. “This is not the end. We’re going to keep fighting for affordability, healthcare, education, and voting rights. We’re going to stay together, stay organized, and keep pushing forward,” she added.
Almost immediately, stars from both Married to Medicine and The Real Housewives of Potomac rallied around her online. Dr. Jackie Walters, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Stacey Rusch, Dr. Steve Sanders, and Mimi Sanders were among those showing support following the election results.
The race came after the passing of longtime Congressman David Scott, whose seat became the focus of the closely watched Democratic primary.
Even though the campaign did not end in victory, Dr. Heavenly’s online supporters praised her for stepping into politics and using her platform to speak on issues affecting Black families and working communities.
