Alicia Keys took to Instagram to celebrate her 11th wedding anniversary with her producer husband, Swizz Beatz.
“Soulmates. Deeper then soulmates. Twin flames. An existential earthquake. My souls mirror. All these are good but still not strong enough to describe our precious, precious love!!” she captioned her post. “Happy anniversary my love! Woooooooowwwwwwww it’s just getting better!! 👑👑👑 I celebrate, honor and deeply respect us!!”
The singer shared a sepia image of her and Swizz in a close embrace. “Here’s to many many many many more!!!!!” she concluded the post.
Of course, Swizz also gave his wife a loving anniversary tribute:
“Wow it’s officially 11yrs today 🎉🙌🏽💪🏽 Thank you for all of your love and beyond 🌹 Your love is the Key to my life Happy anniversary Mrs Dean I love you,” he captioned his post.
The couple tied the knot in 2000. They share two sons — 10-year-old son Egypt and 6-year-old Genesis. Swizz is also father to 20-year-old son Prince, 14-year-old son Kasseem Dean, Jr. and 13-year-old daughter Nicole from previous relationships.
In a recent op-ed for USA Today, Keyz opened shared that meditation had made her a better mother to her sons.
“Once you make that kind of deep connection with yourself, your relationship with everything and everyone around you changes. As I’d hoped, I became a better mother because I was more confident in myself,” she explained.
“I could hear what I needed and what my family needed. Same with my relationships with my husband, my mother and definitely my work,” Keys wrote. “Now I could be crystal clear, powerful and strong and not back down because I had a way to access my own intuition.”
The Grammy award-winning star also added that meditation helped her “tap into the Divine Feminine.”
“I believe the Divine Feminine is an extremely powerful force within all of us,” Keys continued. “It has characteristics that we associate with mothering: it helps you grow, it helps you create, it cultivates who you are.”
