Comedian Amanda Seales once again lit up the internet with her political commentary. This time, she turned her attention to Vice President Kamala Harris, recounting a meeting Seales claimed the two women had.
Actress Amanda Seales is not readily bestowing accolades upon Vice President Kamala Harris.
Following Joe Biden’s announcement that he was quitting his reelection campaign due to concerns about his alleged cognitive decline, Kamala Harris received support from President Joe Biden and other prominent figures.
When word spread that Harris would run for president and become the first Black and Asian woman to hold the position, people of all races and backgrounds mobilized, but Seales has been vocal in her criticism of the former attorney general of California.
Though not limited to Harris, the “Insecure” actress has publicly criticized Donald Trump’s assassination and other political figures with her unvarnished opinions.
Her most recent statements, which indicate that she does not support the Democratic representative, have made her critics even more unhappy.
A video of Seales discussing the Democratic presidential candidate went viral on Saturday, July 27.
The comedian started by lamenting that politicians merely “state things” rather than acting to effect change.
The creator of “Smart, Funny, and Black” said at the beginning of the clip, “I don’t need politicians to state things—I need politicians to do things.”
Seales then focused on Vice President Harris, mentioning an alleged earlier exchange between them. She described how Harris insisted on meeting with her, saying that she told Harris that her messaging was “disingenuous.”
Amanda Seales disclosed, “When I met with Kamala Harris after she summoned me, I told her straight up, ‘You talk out two sides of your neck, and we don’t know what you’re talking about.’ I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Kamala Harris who is trying to shut me the f**k up…I feel like she is disingenuous in her messaging.
“She said to me, ‘Well, you’re being too critical.’ And I said, ‘I am a voter—I’m supposed to be critical. And I want to see action.'”
“She said, ‘How am I supposed to talk about racism in America without calling Americans racist?'” Seales continued. “I said, ‘First of all, there are many racist Americans, but there are also policies, legislation, institutions, and systems that need to be addressed. And if you’re not going to do that […] in a loud, bold way, people will never really know where you’re coming from.'” [She said], ‘Well, you can’t tell me how I feel.’ I said, ‘Well, I’m not telling you how to feel—I’m telling you how you sound!'”
Amanda Seals also revealed that she felt as though Zionists have been attempting to silence her after one of her comedy shows was canceled. She said finding out if Harris’ team is responsible for those efforts wouldn’t be shocking.
As she concluded her video, Seales offered some advice to Americans. According to her, people should always “question their source” and “intention.”
