A clip of a heated exchange that turned psychical between BET College Hill stars Amber Rose and Joseline Hernandez has gone viral, but it wasn’t the fisticuffs that got people talking.
In a recent episode that aired Thursday, the two got into an argument after Joseline referred to a group of people as “the whites.”
Amber, who has a white mother and a Black father, took offense to the comment, to which Joseline attempted to make amends. “If you feel like I singled you out, I apologize,” Joseline said. “I didn’t mean to do that.”
Joseline, who wore her makeup to appear as if she was a clown, then backtracked from what was supposed to be an extension of an olive branch when she retorted, “you know what? Your problem really is you want to be a white girl! Your problem is you really don’t want to be Black!”
After back-and-forth clap backs between the two reality stars, Amber is then seen hopping out of her chair and walking towards Joseline. Amber is then seen raising her hand to attack Joseline, but viewers were unable to see what happened next because BET producers chose not to air the fight.
“Out of respect for all parties involved, we have chosen not to show this fight. ‘College Hill’ and AKU do not condone violence of any kind,” the show wrote in a slate following the scene.
After the clip went viral online, fans began to weigh in on the melee.
“Ugh. Anyone else feel Joseline Hernandez doesn’t deserve the platforms producers continue to give her? This #CollegeHill fight with Amber Rose should have NEVER happened.”
“Amber Rose we all thought you are black and if you did not fit into black spaces then explain your whole career,” one user tweeted. “Who supported you girl? We did! Black folks. Joseline delivery was bad but she was right #CollegeHill”
“I’m not one to tell a biracial how to feel about their blackness but amber rose saying she doesn’t fit into black spaces is hilarious. Like she literally came up off of black strip clubs and two black men. No one in white society takes her seriously. Be fucking serious,” another tweeted.
“Amber Rose talkin bout she don’t fit into black spaces while on a majority black cast, on a remake of a black show, on a black network while having black former spouses and black children and immersed into black/hip-hop culture… okay.”
