Blue Ivy Carter proved once again that talent runs in the family as she joined her mother, Beyoncé, on stage during the highly anticipated halftime show at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on Christmas Day.
Performing songs from her new album, Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé delivered a stunning set that opened with a pre-recorded segment of “16 Carriages” and “Blackbird.”
She rode onto the field at NRG Stadium on horseback before transitioning into a live performance in a dazzling crystal-studded white bodysuit, cowboy boots, and a hat to sing “Ya Ya.”
The halftime show featured country music stars Tanner Addlell, Brittany Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and Reyna Roberts, adding to the genre-blending spectacle.
Midway through the set, 12-year-old Blue Ivy joined a group of background dancers, all clad in white. She effortlessly executed intricate choreography alongside her mother, donning a fringe-accented white outfit.
The mother-daughter duo captivated fans, with Blue Ivy stealing the spotlight during a spirited do-si-do moment.
Fans flocked to social media to express their admiration:
- “Blue Ivy is eating the girlies up! I’m always so happy to see her perform right next to Beyoncé,” one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote.
- “Omg! Blue Ivy Carter, she is doing well with her mom @Beyonce. Awesome performance,” another fan added.
The star-studded performance also included appearances by Post Malone and Shaboozey, rounding out an unforgettable halftime show produced by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
This project is reportedly part of Beyoncé’s multi-project deal with Netflix, signed in 2019.
Ahead of the show, Beyoncé teased fans with a playful promotional video poking fun at Netflix’s past buffering issues. The streaming platform joined in the fun, changing its bio to:
“Roasted by Beyoncé 12.24.24.”
This isn’t Blue Ivy’s first time performing alongside her mother. She wowed audiences during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in 2023, where she showcased her skills in Paris and other venues.
Earlier this year, she also made her film debut as the voice of Princess Kiara in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, directed by Barry Jenkins.
Proud mom Beyoncé celebrated her daughter’s milestone with a heartfelt Instagram post:
“My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
As Blue Ivy continues to follow in her mother’s footsteps, it’s clear this young star is carving out her own legacy.
