Cardi B called out Donald Trump supporters who took to social media to mock her following his victory over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
Cardi B used her platform to champion the causes she believes in, including endorsing Democratic candidates like Kamala Harris. However, following Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the recent 2024 presidential election, the Grammy-winning rapper found herself in the crosshairs of MAGA supporters online.
Kamala Harris lost the U.S. presidential election to Donald Trump, and several celebrities, including those who supported her, have reacted to the outcome online. Cardi B, who had previously spoken at the VP’s Milwaukee rally, expressed her disappointment and encouragement for the Democratic nominee.
On Wednesday (Nov. 6), Cardi took to her X account with a heartfelt message for Harris, praising her for her integrity and perseverance. “To Vice President Kamala,” she wrote. “No matter what they’ve said to bring you down or belittle your run for the presidency, they can never say you didn’t run your race with honesty and with integrity. You never accepted defeat as an option… you really wanted better for ALL of us!”
As the day continued and Trump supporters kept provoking Cardi B, she responded fiercely. The rapper posted another video on Twitter. In this clip, she directed her attention to those who were trolling her.
“Y’all won, I know y’all happy. Ain’t nobody acting like bitter losers.”
She continued, “Y’all need to leave me the fck alone,” she asserted. “Because I got one more fcking cigarette in me before I start lighting your ases up.” The rapper closed her statement by extending her warning to anyone and everyone. “That’s the word to the motherfcking United States of America.”
Cardi B has been on a rollercoaster of emotions when the election started to slip away from them during the evening of Election Day. When it was clear that Trump would win, Cardi B posted a photo of herself looking very distraught.
“I hate y’all bad,” the 32-year-old Grammy winner captioned the video of herself looking off into the distance and sighing.
