Just when it seemed like the “Bongos” rapper was head-over-heels for a new mystery man (who many suspected to be NFL star Stefon Diggs), things took a seriously messy turn online. You won’t believe the alleged clapback that followed Cardi’s gushing declarations of love.
“It’s been a couple of weeks, and I haven’t addressed anything…” That’s what Cardi B said on Twitter Spaces just before the internet exploded with drama again.
On April 27, Cardi jumped on Twitter Spaces and dropped a subtle bombshell. No names were mentioned (classic soft launch), but sis was clearly in love.
“It’s been a couple of weeks, and I haven’t addressed anything,” she said. “Because it’s like… you know when you got a gorgeous [man] loving you from head to toe? It’s like, I don’t really give a f–k what anybody says when you got a real fine [man] that love you from head to toe.”
Fast forward just hours after Cardi’s internet lovefest—and boom. The timeline took a turn.
A lifestyle influencer by the name of Skymarlenee posted, then deleted, a suspicious photo that looked a little too intimate. The image was a cozy mirror selfie with none other than Stefon Diggs standing behind her. He’s wrapped around her like a burrito, arms snug around her upper body, both of them smiling like they know exactly what they’re doing. She’s rocking a black long-sleeve and matching shorts. He’s in a light grey tee.
Then she followed up with this Instagram Story bomb:
“I don’t post him. I be with him in real life & we be doing it raw.”
The internet lost it. Fans who were still recovering from Cardi’s breakup with Offset (who had his own Olympic-level cheating history) now feel like the rapper may have traded in one mess for another.
Some tweets hit below the belt:
“Stefon Diggs side piece with a post and delete. At this point, Cardi, your box gotta be trash like garbage juice…”
“Cardi B broke up with Offset, who she had a family with because of his cheating to be with Stefon Diggs, who is sleeping with other women…”
Others came to her defense, calling out the “old pic” and suggesting the whole setup was orchestrated by someone trying to sabotage Cardi’s peace.
