Basketball Wives star pled guilty to 15 criminal charges earlier this year.
A federal judge has reportedly ruled on Brittish Williams‘ recent request for a delayed prison surrender date.
In May, the reality star, who appeared on “Basketball Wives LA” in 2014 Season 3, pleaded guilty to five federal counts of misuse of a Social Security number, three counts of making false statements to the IRS, four counts of bank fraud, and three counts of wire fraud.
Federal authorities alleged that Brittish Williams illegally obtained PPP loans for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ‘Basketball Wives star was sentenced to a 4-year jail term with a sentencing date is to begin on December 11, 2023.
However, earlier this month, she filed a motion, pleading with a judge to push back the date to allow her to spend one last holiday with her daughter.
In her filing, Brittish Williams reportedly explained that she needed time to find appropriate housing for her mother, who will care for her daughter in her absence.
RadarOnline has shared an update from the recent legal request, reporting that a judge has signed off on the request to start her 4-year prison sentence at the top of the new year.
According to the blog, the reality star initially requested the January 11, 2024, prison surrender date, but the federal judge delayed her surrender until Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
On the “Reality with the King” podcast episode, Brittish Williams claimed a series of issues, including a gambling addiction and her father’s death, fuelled her fraudulent criminal behavior.
“That (gambling) addiction had a lot of domino effects to things that would occur,” the 33-year-old actress revealed.
According to her, when her dad died in July 2017 after a grueling battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, her gambling habits shot through the roof.
