Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo Are Officially Divorced Less than One Year After Renewing Their Vows

After news that the wife of Ne-Yo, Crystal Renay, was headed down splitsville after she allegedly discovered that the singer fathered a child with another woman, the couple is officially divorced.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Smith, and Crystal Renay, who took on her former spouse’s last name when they renewed their vows less than a year ago, finalized their divorce on Jan. 26 in Georgia.

The documents reveal that the divorce was finalized at the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia’s Family Division, which determined that their union is now “a total divorce” and should “be granted.”

Neither Renay, 37, nor Ne-Yo, 43, have spoken up about the divorce since the announcement was made.

The divorce settlement will include Renay receiving a $1.6 million one-time payment for their shared property along with one of the four homes they own in Georgia, according to TMZ. She will also receive $20,000 to assist with moving expenses. Furthermore, she is expected to rake in $12,000 monthly in child support for their three children in addition to receiving payment for their children’s education costs and will walk away with $5,000 per month in alimony for three years.

Meanwhile, the So Sick songwriter will keep their 2022 Bentley Bentayga but must give Renay $150,000 to buy another car, TMZ indicated.

Both parties have agreed not to have any intimate partners around the children unless one becomes engaged, married or receives approval from the other.

Renay filed for divorce in August 2022 after renewing their vows in April that same year. The couple was originally married in 2016 but divorced in 2020. They then reconciled and renewed their vows among family and friends in Las Vegas.

“8 years. 8 years of lies and deception,” Renay wrote in part in a social media post shortly before they announced they were breaking up. “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!”

She continued: “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a[n] understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”

One day after she spilled the tea, the Arkansas entertainer took to Twitter, writing “For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums,” he said. “I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”

The pair share three children: Shaffer Chimere Jr., 6, Roman Alexander-Raj, 4, and Isabella Rose, 1.
