Megan Thee Stallion and BTS’ RM are turning up the heat with a brand-new collaboration that’s got fans buzzing!
The Houston rap queen and the K-pop sensation just announced their joint track, “Neva Play,” set to drop on Friday, September 6. Mark your calendars and get those streaming services ready because this one’s going to be fire!
Megan took to Instagram on Sunday (Sept.1) to share the exciting news.
She posted a vibrant promo illustration featuring herself rocking bold blue hair and fanning out some cash, while RM gives a cool glance over his shoulder.
The caption? Pure excitement:
“NEVA PLAY WITH RM OUT FRIDAY HOTTIES X ARMY #MEGJOON.”
But that’s not all! Megan also teased her fans with a little insider info:
“ps. This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.”
With a hint like that, anticipation is at an all-time high.
The collaboration wasn’t a complete surprise for some eagle-eyed fans. Earlier in the week, Megan dropped a cryptic hint on X (formerly Twitter) with just a few emojis: “🐎X💜 👀.”
The purple heart immediately had fans speculating about BTS’ involvement, and the next day, BTS’ official account confirmed the collab with their own playful tweet:
“🐎X🦔(🐨) Coming Soon! 💜👀.”
“Neva Play” comes just two months after Megan dropped her third album, Megan, which quickly climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, BTS has been on a bit of a break from group activities due to their mandatory military service in South Korea. But that hasn’t stopped the boys from working on solo projects, and RM’s team-up with Megan is the latest treat for fans.
This isn’t the first time Megan and BTS have joined forces. Back in 2021, she jumped on the remix of their chart-topping hit “Butter,” and the chemistry was undeniable when they performed it together in Los Angeles.
Megan has always been a fan of BTS, and she couldn’t contain her excitement when she first got the chance to collaborate with them.
“I love BTS, and I was telling my manager, ‘I really want to do a song with BTS, I don’t know what I can do or what we’re going to do,'” Megan shared with Entertainment Tonight.
So, when BTS reached out to her for the “Butter” remix, it was a dream come true. Now, with “Neva Play” on the horizon, fans are ready to see what magic the Hotties and ARMY can create together once again.
