Halle Bailey has seemingly confirmed her and DDG’s breakup after the singer mysteriously deleted all photos of the rapper and their family-themed photos from her Instagram page.
Fans have been buzzing with speculation after noticing that the social media cleanse comes just nine months after the couple welcomed their first child and barely a week after DDG announced their split.
The split between Bailey and DDG has caused shockwaves online, mainly because DDG himself declared the breakup in a public statement.
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” he said. “The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best part forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared.”
DDG made it clear that the separation would not affect their friendship.
“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
“As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support. Thank you for your love and encouragement,” DDG signed off.
Two years ago, The “Little Mermaid” star said that she was “for sure” in love with the YouTube rapper. During an interview with Essence, she revealed that she grew up watching young Black creators on YouTube, who were a constant source of inspiration for her, mentioning that DDG “was one of them.”
The couple was first romantically linked in January 2022, when they were spotted together at Usher’s Las Vegas residency. Things became official a few months later when DDG wished Bailey a happy birthday in a now-deleted Instagram video.
In December 2023, Bailey gave birth to their son, Halo.
As of today, October 11, 2024, they are no longer in a relationship.
Halle, known for keeping her private life relatively under wraps, has yet to publicly address the situation, leaving her followers to speculate with wild theories.
