Horrific! Missing Woman’s Body Found Wrapped in Plastic, Buried In Concrete in Suspected Domestic Homicide

by Gee NY

Prince George’s County police have charged a 38-year-old man in connection with the gruesome killing of a woman whose body was found wrapped in plastic and partially encased in concrete in what authorities are calling a domestic-related homicide.

Michael McClanahan, of Suitland, Maryland, is facing murder and evidence tampering charges in the death of 44-year-old Sherron Turner — described by police as his girlfriend.

Officers discovered Turner’s body last Thursday, April 24, during a welfare check at an apartment in the 2300 block of Ewing Avenue in Suitland.

According to a police statement released Monday, April 28, Turner’s remains were found in disturbing condition: wrapped in plastic and partially buried in concrete.

An autopsy conducted Saturday confirmed Turner died from blunt force trauma and ruled the case a homicide.

McClanahan was not immediately arrested but was later located and taken into custody in Washington, D.C., on an unrelated matter. He is currently awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County to face the murder charges.

Police have explained that the case is another tragic example of persistent domestic violence in the region.

While such crimes have declined in recent years, PG County Police Chief Malik Aziz has repeatedly highlighted the need for greater community intervention and awareness surrounding intimate partner violence.

Turner’s death adds to a troubling pattern. In 2024, domestic-related homicides made up a significant portion of violent deaths in Prince George’s County, many involving Black women. Local advocates say more needs to be done to address warning signs and provide safe resources for those at risk.

McClanahan has also been charged with attempting to dispose of human remains in connection with efforts to conceal Turner’s body.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence in Prince George’s County is urged to contact the county’s 24-hour crisis hotline at 301-731-1203 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233.
