Following the untimely passing of Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh!, new details have emerged in the moments after her death.

According to the Miami Police Department, officers were dispatched to her hotel on May 31 after receiving a call that a female was “unresponsive.”

“She was transported by Miami Fire Department to Mercy Hospital where lifesaving efforts were conducted,” the department’s Public Information Officer said, “but unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”

In documents obtained by E! News, the mother of three was staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell. The report indicates she was 33 years old at the time of her passing.

It remains unclear what caused her death.

Shine My Crown initially reported about Jacky Oh!’s passing on Friday.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” BET management wrote in a statement. “Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons.”

Born Jacklyn Smith, family and friends close to the star said she was a “tremendous mother” of three to Nova, 6, and Nala, 2, and son Prince’Nehemiah, 10 months. The latter of the three she shared with fellow c-star DC Young Fly, who she was in a relationship with since 2015.

“The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”

The last post she uploaded on Instagram was on May 19, which was a video of her children sleeping.

“You were Very sweet and gone too soon,” one commenter wrote in the post. “You’re energy was always positive. You leave this realm with a lot of love and loved ones.”

“My heart it’s aching and I don’t even know you personally,” wrote another. “I hope these rumors aren’t real.”

Jacky Oh! first appeared on Wild ‘n Out in 2014 for its sixth season, and rose the ranks to become one of the show’s biggest stars. She was introduced to the role through Nick Cannon’s assistant.

“I guess he liked me,” Jacky Oh! told ThisIs50 in an interview, “And he liked my look, and he put me on the show.”

Smith and DC Young Fly became an item after they met in a hotel lobby in 2015. She would soon become a cast member on the show he regularly appeared on.

“I liked him,” she said in a 2017 interview. “I was vibing with him.”

Since leaving Wild ‘n Out in 2020, the actress and comedian launched her own makeup line featuring a line of lip glosses and began a real estate career. But of all her accomplishments, her biggest achievement was her children, she said.

“i do a lot. but being a mommy is my favorite,” she wrote on Instagram May 13. “God chose me 3X. I promise i never take it for granted. Im so damn blessed man!”

Days after her passing, DC Young Fly expressed gratitude and thanked everyone for their support.

“We thank everyone for their well wishes,” he told People, “and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
