The rumor mill has been swirling since Love Jones actress Nia Long appeared at the You People premiere red carpet in hand with co-star B2K star Omarion.
In a recent video that has since gone viral, Nia Long is seen holding hands with the Icebox entertainer causing some fans to react. But the 52-year-old bombshell quickly shut down those rumors when a media outlet posted the video, alluding to the fact that they were indeed a couple.
“Everybody simmer down… I’m single AF,” she commented on the post, adding the kissing face emoji.
Other fans chimed in to react to the post even after she cleared her name of dating the Inglewood star.
“Yep, go for it Nia and Omarion. Taye Diggs (52) and April (36) = 16 year age gap,” one commenter wrote referring to Omarion’s ex-girlfriend April who recently began dating actor Taye Diggs. “Nia Long (52) and Omarion (38) = 14 year age gap. It’s cool when they (men) do, it’s a problem when we (ladies) do it….we reversing it in 2023!”
“Damn Nia ready to risk it all she wouldn’t let his hand go,” another commenter noticed.
“They would actually look really good together,” a third commenter pointed out.
The Nia Long/Omarian rumor began shortly after a tumultuous 2022 for The Best Man actress after her longtime relationship with Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka came to a screeching halt when it was revealed he was having an affair with a coworker. She has since broken things off with him.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress shows her 3.9 million followers what appears to be a kitchen in a new house. She captions the post: “Thankful for the gift of new places and spaces.” She has since deleted the post.
Udoka’s mistress, who has been identified as Kathleen Nimmo Lynch, according to the Daily Mail, is a mother of three who just began working for the basketball team as a team service manager. Meanwhile, Long and Udoka have been together since 2010 and share a child, Kez Udoka, 11.
“The Boston Celtics announced today that the team has suspended Head Coach Ime Udoka for the 2022-23 season for violations of team policies. A decision about his future with the Celtics beyond this season will be made at a later date. The suspension takes effect immediately,” the Celtics said in a statement at the time the news broke.
