What do Nicki Minaj and the SWAT team have in common? Absolutely nothing, except they keep showing up at her house uninvited.
On Wednesday night, the Queen of Rap became the victim of yet another terrifying swatting incident. This time, someone falsely reported that a Black woman had been shot at her Hidden Hills mansion.
Cops pulled up in full force. The house? Empty. Nicki? Not even in the state.
The call came through the business line of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department (not even 911, which is weird on its own) around 7 PM. The person claimed that not only had a woman been shot but that two people were still on the premises. Only for deputies to find no emergency, no shooter, no Nicki… just another disturbing hoax.
This isn’t some silly internet prank. Swatting is a criminal act, a deeply dangerous one. And unfortunately for Nicki, it’s not the first time she’s been dragged into it.
Last year, in both July and August of 2023, false reports claimed everything from a shooting at her home to horrifying (and completely baseless) accusations of child abuse. Every time, cops showed up. Every time, it was a lie. And every time, Nicki’s peace and her family’s safety were compromised for nothing.
It’s giving obsession. It’s giving unhinged.
What’s even scarier is the real risk involved. Just weeks ago in Atlanta, rapper Young Scooter died during a similar swatting incident. A false report led police to a house. When Scooter tried to escape the chaos by hopping a fence, he suffered a fatal injury. The woman behind the hoax? She’s now facing serious charges, as she should.
Nicki and her loved ones were far away from California when this latest stunt went down, but the violation still hits hard. For someone to weaponize law enforcement like this repeatedly is beyond alarming.
Nicki hasn’t spoken publicly about this most recent swatting, but fans are already rallying behind her with one clear message: Stop playing with Onika.
This isn’t just harassment. It’s a threat. And the longer it continues, the closer we get to tragedy.
