If there were any doubts about Doechii’s meteoric rise, they vaporized the moment she emerged from a gargantuan bomb-proof tank, strutting to the bass-thumping beats of her viral anthem “NISSAN ALTIMA” at Dsquared2’s Fall/Winter 2025 show.
The Tampa-born rapper didn’t just walk the runway at Milan Fashion Week—she owned it, opening and closing the Canadian twin duo’s 30th-anniversary spectacle with a ferocity that left industry heavyweights and iPhone-wielding attendees in awe.
Footage from her performance that kicked off the DSquared2 Fashion Week show in Milan, Italy, has flooded social media, receiving almost unanimous praise from fans for its surprising energy. From her dramatic entrance, emerging from an armored personnel carrier (with the door opened by the well-known model Tyson Beckford) and literally dashing to the stage in five-inch heels, to wrapping up the show with a rendition of her and JT’s collaboration “Alter Ego,” Doechii’s latest showcase is once again proving to be an overwhelming success.
Set outside a fictional location called ‘Dsquared2 Bros Co’, the rapper wore one of the brand’s signature Canadian-inspired outfits, featuring a belted corset, a fur-trimmed bomber jacket, a high-low graphic top, belted denim micro shorts, and a cigarette holster. Before the show, designers Dan and Dean Caten stirred excitement for the major anniversary on Instagram by reflecting on the iconic female artists they’ve collaborated with (Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney, Rihanna), and with this endorsement, Doechii has firmly joined that illustrious group.
At the end of the catwalk, Doechii pulled out a cigarette from the makeshift carton affixed to her sleeve.
Since this event marked the 30th anniversary of the skate-shoe brand, Doechii was accompanied by supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk, and Amelia Gray. To top it all off, she wrapped up the memorable event by taking the stage with rap sensation JT to perform their popular house track, “Alter Ego,” switching into a basic white tank top paired with an eye-catching black corset and knee-high lace-up boots.
In 2025, Doechii’s third mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, established her legacy in music by winning Best Rap Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. This achievement made her the third woman in history to win in this category, placing her among the top tier of hip-hop artists. The mixtape also generated two additional entries on the Billboard Hot 100, “Nissan Altima” and “Denial Is a River,” both contributing to her expanding presence in the music industry.
With this show marking another notch in her growing influence, Doechii proves she’s more than just a rising star in the music industry. She’s a force to be reckoned with in fashion, and her partnership with DSquared2 marks the beginning of a long-term relationship between the rapper and the brand.
