Taraji P. Henson Set To Host 2024 BET Awards: ‘I Am Thrilled To Be Returning As The Host’

Taraji P. Henson is back in the hosting seat for the BET Awards! The Oscar-nominated actress will grace the stage on June 30, live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, for the prestigious event.

“I am thrilled to be returning as the host of the BET Awards for the third time. I am also looking forward to celebrating my peers and the impact of our culture on entertainment,” expressed Henson in a statement.

The star-studded event will honor Usher with the Lifetime Achievement Award, adding to the excitement of the evening.

Performers lined up for the show include Victoria Monét, Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Latto, GloRilla, and Shaboozey, promising an electrifying night of music and entertainment.

Drake leads the nominations with an impressive seven nods, including Album of the Year for “For All the Dogs (Scary Hours Edition)” and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.

His collaboration with SZA and Sexyy Red on “Rich Baby Daddy” has also garnered attention in the Viewers’ Choice category.

The showdown between Drake and Kendrick Lamar in two categories—Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration—adds to the anticipation.

Other notable nominees include Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, J. Cole, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and more.
