Tasha K Addresses Court Loss to Cardi B; Says Verdict Was ‘Solely Off Sympathy and Payola’

Tasha K responded to her huge legal loss against rapper Cardi B.

The YouTuber admitted that she fully expected to lose the case but that she will continue to fight the verdict in an upcoming appeal.

“These last four years fighting this conspiracy case, have been extremely challenging … The verdict handed down on Monday was no shock to myself, my husband or my legal team,” Taska K said in a video statement shared to the streaming platform.

“We called bluff against a machine that wanted to bully me for not wavering from my personal beliefs,” she continued. “A machine that has corporate interests to protect prostitution, drug use, promiscuity and to glorify the violence that wreaks havoc in our society and in our neighborhood.”

On Tuesday, a judge decided to award the rapper an additional $2.8 million— bringing the total amount to upwards of $3.8 million.

According to TMZ, a Georgia judge granted Cardi $1.5 million in punitive damages and an additional $1.3 million in attorney fees on Tuesday.

Cardi sued the blogger in March 2019 — after a series of videos uploaded to Youtube alleged the rapper had herpes and HPV.

Cardi established in court that the blogger ran a “malicious campaign” to tarnish her reputation. Kebe also alleged that the rapper previously worked as a prostitute and used cocaine. The “WAP” rapper said that she suffered from fatigue, anxiety, weight loss, and migraines because of the allegations. She also says she struggled to be intimate with her husband.

The media personality blasted the verdict “extremely prejudicial,” based “solely off sympathy and payola,” adding that the trial “[made] me out to be an angry and malicious woman.”

“There was no defamation, no invasion of privacy, and suicidal thoughts,” she said. “We will fight, no matter the cost or length, even if this takes years.”
