Wendy Williams has been in the headlines pretty much every week for the past few months, following her hiatus from her daytime talk show, “The Wendy Williams Show.”
In a video posted to her new Instagram account, her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., shared a touching visual of him and his famous mother taking a stroll along a wind Florida beach.
There have been whispers about Wendy’s mental health—that she is mentally unfit and unhinged—so much so that her bank, Wells Fargo, has frozen her accounts.
However, in the video below, Wendy appears to be calm, collected and optimistic about the future.
New York is fast-paced, which I love. I love [it] here in Florida as much as I do New York, but they are two very different things and people,” the daytime talk show queen tells her son. “But New York is my heart, and Florida is a beautiful place — beautiful, regular. Sometimes weird in a good way. Aren’t we all, weird in a good way?”
According to Love B. Scott, “The Wendy Williams Show,” will be canceled this summer. Instead, the network will debut “The Sherri Shepherd Show.”
“The producers informed everyone that the [Wendy Show] was being canceled at the end of June,” sources close to production told the outlet. “Then in the next breath they hired everyone to work on the new Sherri show.”
Despite the reports, Wendy vowed an epic return.
“Excuse me, I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to people,” Williams. “I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there, you know?” she continued. “So you’ve got to eat the right food. I want to be all I can be and get back to New York and get on down with The Wendy Williams Show.”
