Zendaya surprised a couple tying the knot in Las Vegas after making an unexpected appearance at their wedding ceremony and even signing their marriage certificate as a witness.
The actress, known for her starring role in the HBO series Euphoria, stopped by one of the city’s well-known wedding chapels on Saturday while promoting her upcoming film The Drama. Video clips circulating on the social media platform X show Zendaya entering through a side door of the chapel, surprising guests who reacted with audible gasps as she quietly joined the ceremony already underway.
The wedding belonged to Payton Whitmore and Kadeem Strickland, who were exchanging vows inside the chapel when the actress arrived. The ceremony began with music provided by Alana Haim, a member of the band Haim and Zendaya’s co-star in The Drama. Haim performed a DJ set for the guests, playing Give Me Everything by Pitbull to energize the room before the ceremony started.
As the moment for the bride to walk down the aisle arrived, Haim switched the music to Going to the Chapel of Love. Whitmore began her walk toward the altar, and it was at that moment that Zendaya appeared, stepping into the chapel and joining the celebration.
Following the exchange of vows, both Zendaya and Haim served as official witnesses to the marriage. The pair signed the couple’s wedding license and later posed for photos with the newlyweds after the ceremony concluded.
Zendaya’s appearance came as she continues promoting The Drama, a forthcoming project from A24 centered around relationships and weddings. The actress also spent time posing for photos in front of the chapel during the visit.
For the appearance, Zendaya wore a gold corset-style top paired with a ruffled tiered skirt and brown stiletto heels. The look was styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach. Her outfit featured a gold ruched corset from Louis Vuitton’s spring 2004 collection and a matching silk skirt that previously appeared separately on the runway.
She completed the look with a Cartier Love Unlimited bracelet, Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps, and a delicate gold band from Jessica McCormack. The ring, worn on her finger during the appearance, quickly drew attention online, as fans speculated it could be a wedding band.
Zendaya’s visit to the chapel also fueled ongoing rumors that she may have quietly married actor Tom Holland, although neither star has publicly confirmed those claims.
