Sabrina Elba, UN Goodwill Ambassador and entrepreneur, has introduced her latest venture, S’Able Labs, a skincare line inspired by the African botanicals that combatted her acne-prone skin during adolescence.

“I grew up watching [my mom] make [her] own products and face masks and DIY, everything in the kitchen. I think that was probably, I mean for sure the influence that led me to adding these African botanicals into the [S’Able Labs] skincare range,” Sabrina reflects during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

The new product lines include an Okra Face Serum, a Qasil Cleanser, a Blackseed Toner, a Boabab Moisturizer, and a Qasil Exfoliating Mask, priced from $24 to $75.

“The fact that we come from East Africa and [Idris] is from West Africa and this sort of continental theme, African theme, this Pan-African theme … what I realized, and sort of become addicted to is these stories and heritage pieces around these ingredients and these customs,” Sabrina further shares.

Sabrina Elba has launched S’Able Labs, in collaboration with her husband, actor Idris Elba, offering a skincare range infused with African botanicals like turmeric, okra, qasil, and black seed.

The products aim to combat common skin conditions faced by those with melanated skin, including hyperpigmentation, inspired by Sabrina’s own experience and her mother’s traditional skincare routine.

With a commitment to honoring their African heritage, the couple brings forth a line of skincare products that blend efficacy with integrity, celebrating the power of African ingredients.
