Jackée Harry has never been shy about telling her truth, and at 69, that hasn’t changed. The Emmy-winning actress is opening up about her recent facelift, offering fans a candid look at the decision, the emotions behind it, and the confidence she’s reclaimed along the way.

In September, the Sister, Sister and Days of Our Lives icon underwent a deep-plane facelift at The Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills, performed by Dr. Patrick Davis. Entertainment Tonight was there for the exclusive first look at her transformation, and Jackée didn’t hold back when describing how she feels seeing her reflection now.

“I see me,” she said simply, explaining that the procedure didn’t make her feel like a different person. Instead, it made her feel more like herself. According to Jackée, people don’t gasp or whisper when they see her. They just pause. Then they smile. Some even call her face “snatched.” She laughs at that. “No, no. I’m yanked,” she joked, before making it clear the change brought her peace, not shock value.

The decision didn’t happen overnight. For two years, Jackée says she had been thinking seriously about the surgery, even trying to convince Dr. Davis to do it sooner. After slimming down, she noticed loose skin that no amount of confidence could fully quiet. That discomfort became mental as much as physical, something she describes as her “mind concern.” When a feeling like that lingers, she believes you owe it to yourself to listen.

Her inner circle had mixed reactions. Some friends were supportive. Others begged her not to go through with it. Her younger boyfriend, she revealed, was happy for her and stood by her choice. Ultimately, Jackée trusted her own voice. “When you constantly want something that bad,” she said, “you’ve got to do it.” The experience, she admits, was terrifying and exciting all at once.

Jackée also addressed the pressures that come with being a woman in Hollywood, especially a Black woman whose face has been in the public eye for decades. She looked to other celebrities for inspiration but remained clear about her boundaries. She didn’t want to chase perfection or fall into a cycle of procedures. She wanted to feel refreshed.

Dr. Davis confirmed that deep-plane facelifts can range widely in cost, from about $40,000 to as much as $250,000, depending on complexity.

At 69, Jackée isn’t trying to turn back time. She’s claiming her present with a new face.
