The mother of two reportedly filed a court motion against her estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, accusing him of endangering their daughter’s mental health.
The 33-year-old singer wants a child psychologist to testify about what happened a few weeks ago in Shumpert’s home.
According to Radar Online, Teyana Taylor claims that her soon-to-be ex-husband, Iman Shumpert, had a woman sleep over with him on visitation days with their daughters, 8-year-old Junie and 3-year-old Rue, leaving Junie “confused.”
The “Rose In Harlem” singer is asking the court to allow her to have a child psychologist testify in their divorce case about the long-term effects of such actions on young children.
Teyana Taylor explained that she knew the former NBA star had an unidentified female friend and her daughter at his home; because she saw the female friend’s daughter and heard the friend during a FaceTime check-in.
She also claimed that the woman followed the retired NBA star and his children to SkyZone, a family jump park.
According to Taylor, Junie was “confused” when she saw her father sharing a bed with the woman. After Imam Shumpert told Junie that his “friend” was staying the night because her house was “broken.”
The actress claims her ex-husband is unaware of the impact his relationship with another woman has on their children, which is why she wants a child psychologist to testify.
She also requests that a financial expert testify, claiming that Shumpert has withdrawn nearly $4 million from several shared accounts.
Teyana’s lawyer has issued an exclusive statement to The Shade Room clearing things up.
Her lawyer explained that Junie and Rue were allegedly “confused” by their daddy’s new bed buddy, and Junie felt “extremely uncomfortable.”
And the new motion is in response to the children’s feelings and the potential consequences of the adult sleepover.
