Mielle Organics CEO Alleges Competitor Paid TikToker to Fuel Hair Loss Claims

by Gee NY

Monique Rodriguez, founder and CEO of Mielle Organics, has come forward to address a wave of false allegations surrounding her Black-owned hair and skincare brand.

In an Instagram video, Rodriguez revealed that a competitor allegedly paid a TikToker who initially claimed Mielle products caused hair loss to spread misinformation.

Rodriguez stated that the TikToker had falsely accused Mielle’s popular Rosemary Mint Oil of causing hair loss and claimed the product’s formula had changed.

These allegations quickly went viral, damaging the brand’s reputation and prompting heated discussions on social media.

“We recently discovered that the original TikTok creator…was earning a commission to promote a competitor’s product while spreading misinformation about our products for their own personal gain,” Rodriguez explained in her video.

A Transparent Response

The CEO emphasized her commitment to honesty and integrity, values that have guided Mielle Organics since its inception.

While the original TikTok videos have been removed, Rodriguez felt compelled to publicly address the situation.

“It is very disheartening,” she said. “I’ve always operated with a spirit of believing that there is room for everyone, but unfortunately, not everyone shares that same belief.”

She reassured customers that Mielle Organics’ products remain safe and unchanged, used and trusted by millions of satisfied customers daily.

Rallying Community Support

Rodriguez thanked her loyal customers, dubbed “Mavens and Mavericks,” for defending the brand in online forums and comments. She called on them to continue spreading the truth.

“Please share this message with everyone you know because the truth matters,” she urged. “At the end of the day, integrity always wins.”

A History of Empowerment

Mielle Organics has become a staple in the beauty industry, celebrated for its high-quality products tailored to natural hair care.

Rodriguez, a former nurse, founded the company in 2014 to fill a gap in the market for safe and effective products for textured hair.

Despite this controversy, Rodriguez remains focused on empowering women and serving her community, vowing to uphold the principles that have defined her brand’s success.
