Nearly four years after South African tombstone entrepreneur Lebohang Khitsane was laid to rest, a shocking funeral moment has resurfaced on social media.
Clips circulating on Instagram and Facebook show a chaotic confrontation at his memorial service, where Khitsane’s sister publicly accused his widow of infidelity, right on stage and in front of mourners.
The late businessman, who once said he wanted to be remembered as the “Steve Jobs of tombstones,” was honored in 2020 with a high-profile funeral that included televised tributes.
But amid the solemn tributes, tensions exploded when his sister took the mic.
“Lebohang was in pain,” she began. “It turns out his wife had brought a man into the house. Please… don’t you dare!”
In the now-viral video, the widow, reportedly Khitsane’s wife, throws water bottles at her sister-in-law mid-speech, sparking gasps from attendees and attempts to defuse the moment.
But the sister continued, shouting:
“She brought a f***ing man into my brother’s house!”
The incident was originally reported in part by eNCA, a South African news outlet that captured the unfolding drama, describing it as “some drama during the memorial service” in which “his sister made these shocking claims.”
A Tribute Turns Turbulent

The service began on a heartfelt note, with Khitsane’s widow delivering a glowing eulogy that now contrasts starkly with what followed:
“Thank you for your unconditional, loud, and unwavering love,” she said. “You were warm, energetic, and so comforting.”
However, the mood shifted within moments, triggering one of the most viral and emotionally raw funeral outbursts in recent South African memory.

Khitsane’s legacy in the tombstone industry remains respected. He gained fame for revolutionizing gravestone design, founding Tombstones and Memorials, and building customized monuments for notable figures, often with elaborate designs that resembled sports stadiums, books, or religious motifs.
His death in 2020 shocked many across South Africa, and while the business world remembered him for his creativity and entrepreneurship, his memorial service left a legacy of family conflict that appears to remain unresolved.
Social Media Revives the Fire
The recent resurgence of the funeral footage has sparked fierce online debate, with users divided over whether the sister’s allegations should have been aired publicly and whether the widow’s reaction was justified.
Some sympathized with the sister, calling her brave for speaking her truth. Others said the funeral was not the time or place to disclose such painful claims.
“She is guilty. Why would she be throwing bottles,” one IG user wrote. “But if it’s true, that’s heartbreaking,” added another.
No Official Response
To date, no family member has made a new public statement in response to the renewed attention. Neither the widow nor Khitsane’s extended family have confirmed or denied the allegations since the original incident.
As the footage continues to circulate, it underscores how grief, betrayal, and public spectacle can collide in the digital age, long after the coffin is lowered.
