Remy Ma has announced the launch of her own streaming service, Remy Network, which will debut in the U.S. on November 28, coinciding with Thanksgiving Day. The exciting part? It will be completely free to access.
Powered by the tech company OTTera, this platform will operate as a FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) and AVOD (Ad-supported Video On Demand) service, delivering hip-hop storytelling, music, and culture directly to viewers without any subscription costs.
Team Remy, which includes co-founders Roberto “Rush” Evans, a former executive at Monami Entertainment, and Steven Ward, the founder of Grama’s Boy Media, has designed this network to honor the artistry, impact, and heritage of hip-hop in an unprecedented way. The Remy Network will feature everything from scripted series and documentaries to reality shows, concerts, and even finance-themed content, making it a comprehensive hub for all things reflecting the rhythm, hustle, and essence of hip-hop.
This initiative goes beyond being just another streaming service. It’s a cultural movement. “Everything I’m building now comes from a place of purpose,” Remy emphasized. “Remy Network isn’t just another streaming service; it’s a home for creativity and collaboration. This network is about giving our community a stage to tell our stories our way and making sure those stories are seen and valued.”
The platform is also designed to empower filmmakers and creators, allowing her fellow celebrities to launch their own FAST channels and create original TV content. This means more ownership and representation, enabling authentic voices from the culture to narrate their own stories.
Stephen L. Hodge, CEO of OTTera, commended the collaboration, stating, “Remy Network represents a culturally significant and innovative platform that we are proud to support.”
This new venture could mark a transformative moment in how hip-hop and Black creativity are represented in the media, extending beyond music to take ownership of the narratives themselves.
With a strong focus on authenticity and empowerment, Remy Network aims not only to bring hip-hop to viewers’ screens but also to establish a digital space for the stories, sounds, and souls that have shaped the culture.
