Coi Leray is embracing the Thanksgiving holiday spirit by giving back to her community. Just days before Thanksgiving, the “Act Like You Know” rapper returned to her home state of New Jersey to organize her inaugural Thanksgiving turkey drive, and the overwhelming response left her deeply moved.

This year has been a pivotal one for Coi. Alongside becoming a first-time mother, she launched her nonprofit organization, Camp Courage, and is ending the year by providing support to families in need during the holiday season.

On November 25, she shared heartwarming clips from the event, in which she was seen smiling, taking photos, and handing out turkeys.

In the video, Coi emphasized the importance of giving back, stating, “You gotta give back. We receive so many blessings. Make sure that you bless others, even if it’s just a small prayer.” She also urged viewers to check in on their friends, cherish their family ties, and prioritize mental health. The atmosphere at the event felt genuine and fitting for the season.

Attendee Ausar Walcott echoed the sentiment of many present, saying, “We’re just blessed to have somebody like Coi come back and give back to us.” For many, the event went beyond distributing turkeys—it was a chance to feel acknowledged and supported by someone who once called the same streets home.

The turkey drive was orchestrated through Camp Courage, the nonprofit Coi established last year to uplift and inspire youth. In her social media post, she reflected on her own growth by asking herself, “What can I do to be a better me?” She highlighted the importance of strong leadership while also emphasizing the value of listening and openness to learning. Coi expressed her joy with the turkey drive’s success, stating she “couldn’t be more happy” with how it turned out.

She also made sure to acknowledge the support she received, extending a heartfelt thanks to her team and the Hackensack Recreation Department, which partnered with her for the event. Coi made it clear that this is just the beginning, noting that Camp Courage has ambitious plans to continue serving and empowering communities.

This Thanksgiving holds personal significance for Coi, too, as it marks her first holiday season as a mother. She welcomed her daughter, Miyoco, with Trippie Redd in June. The name, blending elements of both their real names, means “beautiful child” in Japanese. Although the couple separated before the birth, they are co-parenting as Coi continues to embrace love and a new beginning. She recently confirmed her relationship with Justin Laboy.
