A political firestorm is brewing around Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Politico, and Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz, after a report alleging bot activity on Nicki’s social media account triggered accusations, denials, and threats of legal action.

The controversy began when Politico published a report titled “Inauthentic Amplification of Political Discourse on Nicki Minaj’s X Account.” The article cited a social media analytics study claiming a “sophisticated army of bots” helped fuel Nicki Minaj’s recent rise in conservative political conversations online. The report suggested that coordinated inauthentic activity may have amplified discourse surrounding the rapper’s posts.

Shortly after the report circulated, Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz publicly criticized the findings, calling the report a “total scam.” Bruesewitz then implied there was a connection between the analytics firm behind the report and Cardi B’s camp. He specifically pointed to Mike G, Cardi B’s agent, alleging that he was affiliated with the company responsible for the analytics.

The firm at the center of the claims is Cyabra, an Israeli technology company that uses artificial intelligence to analyze social media activity and detect fake accounts, coordinated influence campaigns, and online disinformation. Cyabra works with brands, governments, and organizations to assess whether online engagement is authentic or artificially amplified.

Bruesewitz shared what he described as receipts from Cyabra’s website, highlighting a page that listed “Mike G, Senior Partner and Talent Agent at UTA, representing stars like Lil Wayne and Cardi B,” alongside other business figures. He used that information to suggest a link between Cardi B’s representation and the analytics company cited in the Politico report. Following the online exchange, the referenced webpage was taken down.

Cardi B quickly responded to the allegations, denying any involvement with the report or the analytics firm. The Bronx rapper called the accusation defamatory and warned that she would pursue legal action if her name continued to be connected to the controversy. She maintained that she had no role in the creation or promotion of the report.

As the back-and-forth unfolded, the situation added another chapter to the long-running tension between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. While neither artist directly engaged each other over the report, Cardi B stands firm in her denial and says she is prepared to take the matter to court if necessary. Meanwhile, the Politico report and the claims surrounding Cyabra continue to fuel debate across social media.
