Rihanna is once again turning into a viral conversation after debuting a brand-new tattoo designed by her children. The singer and beauty mogul revealed the fresh ink just days after making headlines alongside A$AP Rocky at the 2026 Met Gala, and fans online have not stopped talking about it.
Celebrity tattoo artist Keith McCurdy, better known as Bang Bang, shared the tattoo reveal on Instagram Friday with a series of close-up videos showing Rihanna getting inked behind her knee. The tattoo featured playful scribbles originally drawn by her children on paper decorated with Paw Patrol stickers.
“Family tats @badgalriri. Designed by her babies,” Bang Bang captioned the post.
The tattoo immediately sparked reactions across social media, with many fans calling the design sweet and sentimental while others joked that the chaotic scribble pattern was “giving anxiety.” Still, the overwhelming response centered on how personal the tattoo felt for Rihanna, who has long been known for her growing collection of meaningful body art.
The new ink sits on the lower part of her leg and appears to directly recreate the colorful marker drawings made by her little ones. Fans quickly zoomed in on the details after the videos surfaced online, with many pointing out how Rihanna continues to embrace motherhood in her own signature style.
Bang Bang and Rihanna have worked together for years, building one of the most recognizable celebrity tattoo collaborations in pop culture. Back in 2018, the tattoo artist reflected on their longtime friendship in a birthday tribute to the singer.
“Your co-sign of my s— for the past 10+ years has changed my life. It’s been my privilege to decorate you, more importantly, it’s been an honor to be your friend,” he wrote at the time while sharing photos of some of Rihanna’s most iconic tattoos, including artwork on her back, chest, neck, ankle, and fingers.
These days, Rihanna’s world revolves heavily around family life with A$AP Rocky and their three children: sons RZA and Riot, along with baby daughter Rocki. Even with her busy schedule, the singer continues finding ways to blend motherhood with fashion and self-expression.
Just days before unveiling the tattoo, Rihanna and Rocky made their now-traditional late arrival at the 2026 Met Gala, where the couple once again stole attention on the red carpet. The appearance came a year after Rihanna famously announced her pregnancy with daughter Rocki during the same event.
