Angel Reese has finally addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding her relationship with Caitlin Clark, the Iowa star. In a recent interview, Reese revealed that she and Clark have never had a personal feud and that the drama between them has been largely fueled by fanatic fans.

After their intense matchup in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship, rumors about the tension between the two stars have circulated nonstop. The heated rivalry captivated basketball fans, with Reese making headlines for her daring “you can’t see me” gesture towards Clark during the championship game. Though Reese’s on-court swagger sparked endless debate on social media, many wondered if the competitive energy had spilled over into a personal feud.

On the first episode of Angel Reese’s podcast “Unapologetically Angel”,
, Reese dismissed the speculation, stating that there is no personal beef between her and Clark while discussing the challenges of her rise to stardom.

She specifically mentioned being the target of racism and death threats from fans of Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.

“Caitlin is an amazing player, and I’ve always thought she was an amazing player. We’ve been playing each other since high school,” the Chicago Sky forward said.

“I think it’s really just the fans, her fans, the Iowa fans, now the Indiana fans, that are like, they ride for her,” Reese added. “And I respect that, respectfully, but sometimes it’s very disrespectful. I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it.”

However, Reese Reese said she has great respect for Clark and does not believe Clark agrees with any of her fans’ actions.

She continued, “And I don’t believe she stands on any of that. But when it comes to death threats like I’m talking about, people come down to my address, follow me home, it’s come down to that on multiple occasions.”

Reese went on, saying, “Multiple occasions, people have made AI pictures of me, like naked. Literally. They have sent it to my family members. My family members are like… uncles are sending it to me like, ‘Are you naked on Instagram?’ It sucks to see that, and it’s really hard that I have to go through that. And now seeing other players even having to go through that.”

“At the end of the day, it’s a game that we do both love. But there is no hate,” she said.
