The trailer for season two of CW’s Batwoman has dropped, and we cannot get over how phenomenal Javicia Leslie looks.

CW graciously dropped a 10-second clip, which sees Leslie’s Ryan Wilder rushing into a grubby bathroom to unzip a bag, retrieve the Batwoman suit.

“Time to be powerful,” she says in the clip.

Leslie replaced model and actress Ruby Rose, who exited the show after playing Kate Kane for one season.

“I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community,” Leslie said at the time.

During DC Fandome in September, Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries revealed what fans could expect from the upcoming season.

“Ryan’s journey starts from a place of, ‘What can this Batsuit do for me?’ But it’s not long before she realizes the power of its symbol and what it can do for everyone else in Gotham City,” she said. “As Ryan embraces everything that makes her special, she adjusts the suit to fit her physically and figuratively. This meant creating a new body design and new cowl that was undeniably a statement that screamed ‘powerful.'”

Earlier this year, Dries made it clear this Rose’s lesbian character Kate Kane had not been recast.

“As a lesbian who’s been working as a writer for the past fifteen years, I’m well aware of the “Bury Your Gays” trope and I have no interest in participating in it,” she said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “That’s why it’s important to me as the showrunner to clarify any misinformation out there about Kate Kane and recasting Batwoman.”

Batwoman returns to The CW for season two on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m.
