Cardi B has spoken out in defense of the adult content industry following Candace Owens’ recent demand for a government ban on all pornography, which Owens described as “a psychological weapon intended to weaken our men.”
The controversy began when Owens shared her views on Twitter, prompting Cardi B to respond with a personal testimonial.
According to a screenshot captured by TMZ, Cardi questioned the intense opposition to porn.
“Ommmggg why yall so against porn? Is it that bad for yall?” she wrote. “I enjoy it but I don’t know I guess is like a 6 time a year thing. I personally don’t feel no connection or addiction to it just a little quick one two … NOTHING LIKE REAL INTIMACY!”
Cardi, a married mother of two, also credited pornography with educating men on how to please women.
Owens’ stance sharply contrasts with the recent business ventures of Kanye West, also known as Ye.
Ye has launched his Yeezy Porn imprint, collaborating with Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband, Mike Moz, and setting up a studio for the project.
This move led to the resignation of Milo Yiannopoulos, Ye’s former chief-of-staff, who cited conflicts with his “spiritual and physical health” as reasons for his departure.
This isn’t the first time Ye and Owens have stirred controversy together.
In 2022, they sparked outrage by wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts at a fashion show, both expressing opposition to the Black Lives Matter movement. Despite their previous alliances, their views on adult content appear to diverge significantly.
Earlier this month, tweets promoting the launch of Yeezy Porn were removed from the internet, adding another layer to the ongoing discourse around the subject.
